A working PC
1. Find a working PC. Remove the cover. Remove all power supply connectors from the motherboard, hard drives, etc.
2. Draw the power supply connectors below. Label the pins, colors, and signals used.
3. Reconnect all connectors. Verify that you have connections correct! Check for proper cable orientation!
4. Apply power. Carefully using a digital multimeter, measure the voltages found on each pin of the connectors. Write the measured voltages on the drawing you created above.
5. What is the wattage of this power supply?
6. What form factor is this power supply?
7. Reassemble the PC and verify that it is in working order. Return the PC to where you found it.
8. Research on the internet at least
three manufacturers of UPSs. Write in the specifications found.
